 App Updates & Enhancements

• Firmware Manager, security, and platform hardening – closed a security audit finding around the App Link verification file for the Firmware Manager app (assetlinks.json), preventing potential deep-link hijacking.
• Enhanced Compatibility Layer – Significant updates to the compatibility core, providing smoother performance and improved support for third-party applications.
• Refreshed Messaging, Contacts & Dialer  Experience : We have redesigned SMS, Contacts, and Dialer with a cleaner look and smoother, more reliable functionality throughout.
• New UP Apps – UP Launcher (UP UI V15.3.18), UP Switch (V2.5.5)

• “Compatibility core has stopped” error appearing frequently on FW 2.142
• Media Playback Pauses When USB Charging Cable Is Connected. This is explicitly called out in the epic’s scope and is Done, but isn’t in your notes.
• Custom contact notification tones reverted to the default sound once the SMS/MMS app was backgrounded or closed.
• Unable to Switch to an Alternative Launcher- lynx on beta firmware 2.170
• Fixed a “Compatibility core has stopped” crash that could occur repeatedly during normal app use.
